Santa Cruz Airporter:
This is a small shuttle bus service which will take you directly to your hotel or UCSC. San Francisco (SFO) is $40 one way and San Jose (SJX) is $35. They accept cash, or you may pay with your credit card, giving the number at the time you make the reservation. The bus is small and reservations 3 weeks in advance are necessary.
Pickup at San Francisco (SFO) is by the large blue pillars outside the baggage claim area, on the traffic island with all the other shuttle service buses for hotels, car rentals, etc. Look for a white bus with a red stripe and the `Santa Cruz Airporter' sign on the bus. Service to Santa Cruz is about 1.75 hrs. Service hours are 6:30 am, 8 am, then every 2 hours until 10 pm.
Pickup at San Jose (SJX) is at the curbside near the United terminal on the same side of the street, not where you pick up your baggage; There is a second one at the older terminal near the baggage claim at the bus stop for local buses. Service to Santa Cruz takes about 1 hour. Schedule is every two hours beginning at 9 am with the last trip at 11 pm.
Return service to both airports from Santa Cruz begins at 4:50 am, 5:30 am, and every 2 hours during the day until 7:30 pm. While delivery in Santa Cruz will be directly to your motel, pickup in Santa Cruz is only at established locations, e.g., Pasatiempo Inn, West Coast Santa Cruz Hotel (about 2 blocks from the Ocean Pacific Lodge) or the University campus main gate.

The 831 number is answered only 8-5 week days and 9-4 weekends.
We recommend making your reservation by November 18 to ensure a seat on the shuttle.
When you make your reservation your airline, flight number and pickup time will be needed for both directions from and to the airport. Please indicate which pickup point you will need for the return shuttle to the airport. Reservations can be made without a credit card; you would pay the driver in US dollars. The driver does not have any way to take payment via credit card.
