Depletion Thickness vs. Bias Voltage

The detectors were operated at different bias voltages. The depletion thickness is extracted from the bias voltage by assuming that a 300mm detector deplets between 60 - 70V.

sqrt (d) ~ V

The current for each detector was so small that ther voltage drop at the external bias resistor could be neglected. However the voltage drop due to the punch-through structure was taken into account by subtracting 10V from the set value.

bias voltage [V] corrected bias voltage [V] depletion thickness [mm]
25 15 140 - 150
60 50 253 - 273
100 90 340 - 370
190 180 500
