System Specifications

1. Vertical magnetic field
2. Strip aligned along the vertical
3. Rotation about the vertical axis
4. Cooling of irradiated detectors with liquid coolant

Module Arrangements

• Rely on beam telescope
• Locate all binary modules on the rotation stage
• Re-use/rebuild H8-95 detector boxes each carrying 2 modules, rotated by 90°
• Assume 3 chips/modules 3*128*75=2.9 cm active area
• For minimum beam acceptance of 1 CDP128 min,
  • pairs of modules allow rotation > 30°
  • tripletts of mdoules allow rotation of > 20°
• Motorized rotation and horizontal translation preferred
• Vertical translation (along strips) can be manual
