The Santa Cruz Institute for Particle Physics (SCIPP) has reserved a block of rooms at Ocean Pacific Lodge, 120 Washington St, Santa Cruz, CA 95060, phone 831-457-1234, toll free 800-995-0289, FAX 831-457-0861 for Aug 11-15. The weeknight rates are $65 ($71.50 incl tax) for a single or double room, and $79 ($86.90) for a suite (two rooms, one with a bed and the other with a sofa-bed). Please make your own reservations (mentioning the SCIPP Galaxy Workshop to get the special rate), and consider sharing a room/suite and/or a rental car. In previous summers I was able to find a house that I could rent for the use of workshop participants, but this summer I have been unable to do so, partly because I have been travelling. Sorry!
