The Select Next/Select Previous options are useful for selecting one page object at a time. It's a good way to select a table without wiping out a cell selection.
For example, when you select a range in a graph, notice that a number
of cells within the table are selected in the table BUT if you try to select
the table with the mouse, it wipes out the selection. These cells
can be copied to the clipboard by selecting a range in a graph, then choosing
Select Next until the table is selected. Finally, choose Copy from
the Edit menu.
