The next West Coast LHC Theory meeting will be hosted by the Santa Cruz Institute for Particle Physics (SCIPP) at UC Santa Cruz, May 21, 2010. The meeting will be held in Room 102 of the Interdisciplinary Sciences Building (ISB) from 9:30 am--6:15 pm (for more details, see the agenda of the meeting).
Here are driving directions to SCIPP at UCSC.
If you are flying to the meeting, the easiest choice is to fly to the San Jose airport (SJC) and rent a car. For added flexibility, you can also consider using the San Francisco airport (SFO). The approximate driving time from SJC to UCSC is 40 minutes; from SFO to UCSC is approximately 75 minutes. There are many flights from Southern California, Phoenix, Portland, Seattle and Vancouver to SJC and SFO, both in the early in morning and in the evening. If you are traveling alone and car rental is not feasible, please contact Howard Haber. Many people will be driving in from Stanford, Berkeley, and Davis who could rendezvous with you at SJC.
Here is some information on lodging in Santa Cruz. Note that from most locations on the West Coast, you can go to Santa Cruz and return home on the same day.
