With the 25--15 defeat at the hands of the Cowell Claymores on May 28, our season is now finished. Many thanks to all who contributed to a fun season. That come-from-behind victory on May 14 alone made the whole season worthwhile! Best of luck to T.J. and Zeke, who will be leaving Santa Cruz after the summer to pursue their dreams.
Dateline Friday May 14. Top of the seventh. Two outs. Nobody on base. Re-Entry is down to their last out vs. the Wolfpack trailing by five runs (6--11). Four straight singles brings the tying run to the-- plate. Down to his last strike, yours truly keeps the inning alive with a single and we are only down by two. Four more hits (and no "cheapies") and we are up by two runs. Bottom of the seventh. The Wolfpack have scored one run, with the tying run rounding third and headed to the plate. But, an excellent throw home catches the runner in a rundown between third and home. The runner heads back to third, then back toward home, seemingly beating the throw toward the plate. But, at the last second, the potential tying run is out on the swipe tag. Game over! An exciting come-from-behind 13--12 victory, and we are still trying to catch our collective breath.
The next game will most likely be in April, 2005.

All fields are adjacent to the East Field House. The field closest to the swimming pool is Field 1 (for another view click here). Follow the running track in the direction of Monterey Bay to reach Field 2. Keep following the track as it turns, and you will then end up at Field 3, which is the furthest of the three softball fields from the Field House.
