Physics 101B is the second quarter of the two-quarter introductory
modern physics sequence at UCSC. The course begins with applications
of the Schoedinger theory to atomic physics and then continues on into
the very basics of solid state physics and nuclear and/or elementary particle
physics. A basic introduction to quantum statistics is included along
the way.
