This course provides a practical knowledge of analog electronics that experimentalists generally need in research.  It assumes no previous knowledge of electronics and is based on the popular textbook “Art of Electronics” by Horowitz & Hill, together with the associated lab manual.  The course includes weekly lectures with some homework assignments, including small circuit simulations by PSpice.  However, with the aid of the instructor and teaching assistants, the students are expected to learn mainly through the design, construction, and debugging of small analog electronics projects.

Registered students should log into UCSC WebCT to access the course content.
