Parking

Participants who wish to rent a vehicle or drive their own vehicle to campus will need a parking permit. Participants who purchased a parking permit along with their registration will pick the permits up at the Core West Parking Structure between 7:30-9:30am Tuesday morning. An attendant will be stationed at the parking garage, please follow the signs for Event parking.

If you will be arriving after 9:30am on Tuesday, or on a subsequent day, please pick up your parking pass at the TAPS Sales Office prior to proceeding to the Core West Parking structure. The TAPS Sales Office is located near the base of campus. Enter the main entrance at High Street and Bay Street. Proceed up the small hill. At the next traffic light turn right onto Carriage House Road. Then make an immediate right on Ox Team Road. Metro Bus Service (SCMTD Metro) from Campus to Seymour Center Event:

Route 22 service operates hourly Monday through Friday during regular UCSC Session, in the intersession times, bus route 20 (see map). All Metro buses are equipped with front-mounted racks that accommodate three bicycles.

Public Bus Transportation

UCSC is very bus friendly. There are several Santa Cruz Metropolitan Transit District (Metro) buses that go to the campus including (but not limited to) 10, 13,15,16, 19, 20. The schedules for metro buses can be found below.

You will want to get off of the bus at the "College 9 and 10" stop, the bus will announce the stop upon arrival. Once at the 9/10 bus stop, you will want to cross the street, go right, and walk across the bridge (don't walk up any hills-that would be the opposite direction).  The building directly ahead of you is the Interdisciplinary Science Building (ISB).  You will want to walk to the left of ISB to the Earth and Marine Sciences Building (EMS) and follow the signs to the EMS B206 Lecture Hall, the location of the Meeting.
