Stuart Briber - Quarknet Teacher
I came to the Quarknet program 10 years ago as a physics and engineering teacher
at Independence High School in San Jose. I enjoy working with the small group
of Quarknet students as a way to move into science in a new way beyond the
classroom. I have a background before teaching as a forensics expert in physics
investigating evidence at crime and accident scenes to learn the story of what
transpired, I find the Quarknet program to be a little like forensics since students
are called on to develop their own experiments and pursue a line of evidence to try
to determine the truth about an idea they adopt about particle physics. Forensics is
an excellent example of the scientific method, so is the work done produced by our
students. |
