Managing Helper Objects

Helper Objects like Integral, Statistics, Linear Fit, Curve Fit, Legend, and Examine are objects with text and line components. The Helper Objects Options dialog box contains many functions to manage helper objects. You can either select it from Additional Objects Options from the Options Menu or double-click on a Helper Object. The Helper Objects Options dialog box is not available if there are no Helper Objects on the page.

Moving a Helper Object:
You can move a floating box by clicking on it and dragging it around the page.

Deleting the Helper Object:
To delete the object and the graph item to which it points to (an integral, regression line, curve fit, etc.), click the small close box in the upper corner of the Helper Object or click on the Helper Object and select Delete from the Edit Menu.

Aligning Helper Objects:
For organizational purposes, helper objects can be arranged to various parts of the page. Select one of the options under Align Objects from the Page Menu.

Grouping Helper Objects: Helper objects are always considered part of the graph they are attached to.  If you delete the graph, the helper object goes away.  If you copy or group the graph, the helper object is copied or grouped as well
