Despite two heartbreaking losses and one tie this season, the Re-Entry Team managed to earn sole possession of fourth place (in the seven-team Division VII Coed Softball league). Check out the final standings. Unfortunately, only the top three teams of our division qualified for the playoffs. So our season is officially over.
After four innings in a tight contest with Suenos in the first game of a doubleheader, the Re-Entry Team erupted for ten runs in the fifth inning to guarantee their first victory of the season with a convincing 13--2 win.
In the second game of the double header, Re-Entry faced off against
the undefeated MFC, who needed a win to claim first place of Division
VII. After giving up eight runs in the top of the first, Re-Entry
roared back with nine runs in the bottom half of the first inning to
seize a 9--8 lead. Sadly, the lead was short-lived, as are opponents
kept pounding the ball. We were unable to maintain our hot hitting,
and the end result was a 28--12 loss to end the spring season.
Thanks go out to Jan and Susan for playing with us during the final
two games.
The next game will take place in October, 2006. Stay tuned for

All fields are adjacent to the East Field House. The field closest to the swimming pool is Field 1 (for another view click here). Follow the running track in the direction of Monterey Bay to reach Field 2. Keep following the track as it turns, and you will then end up at Field 3, which is the furthest of the three softball fields from the Field House.
